It’s always been a bucket list item for us to spend Christmas in New York, and this year we decided to make it happen. It was just as wonderful as we thought it would be (even though it didn’t snow like I’d hoped!). We spent Christmas Day exploring Central Park and Rockefeller Center, and browsing all the department store window displays along 5th Avenue. Our Christmas dinner consisted of pizza and wine, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

It was definitely a different experience having a winter Christmas! I’d spent the last 31 Christmases at home in Sydney in the middle of summer, where Christmas usually involves barbecues, swimming in the pool and backyard cricket. It was fun to rug up in coats, boots, knits and beanies briefly, although I had to ditch them once we arrived in our next destination (LA blog post coming soon!)
