Since we weren’t going away over Christmas, we decided to play tourist in our own city on the few days off my husband had. I’d wanted to visit the Royal National Park for ages, but had never gotten around to it.

The views along the coastal walk were incredible, and after about an hour and a half of walking, we found Wedding Cake Rock. The bizarrely smooth and white rock is fenced off for safety, but everyone else seemed to just be going around the fence to take photos, so we ventured out there to take some quick shots before heading back.

I highly recommend visiting the Royal National Park if you’re around Sydney, it’s such a beautiful spot in our own backyard.
