Last week, during a frantic lunch hour in which I ran around the city buying last minute Christmas presents, props for upcoming shoots and extra wrapping paper, I found myself in Topshop, as I usually do (having a store only a block away from my office is equal parts handy and dangerous!). I don’t normally impulse purchase clothes, instead preferring to consider each new piece carefully before committing. However, one glance at this sequin skirt on the rack and I knew it had to come home with me.

I instantly knew I would wear it on New Years Eve, but in order to justify my impulse purchase to myself, I wanted to come up with three different outfits in which I could wear it, both for dressy and casual situations.

Is there any outfit a leather biker doesn’t go with? If there is I’m yet to find it.

My single dressy option features an off-the-shoulder top from Decjuba. I love how the ties on the sleeves match perfectly with the leather ties on my Wittner heels.

My favourite outfit of the 3 by far! I love the juxtaposition of the casual oversized sweater with the sequins. I think this will be my low-key New Years outfit.
