The other week I was invited by Aveda to attend the David Jones spring/summer collection launch as their guest. The event itself was incredible, but Aveda treated me and a couple of other influencers to VIP treatment all day. The day started with being picked up and driven around in a Tesla, getting a facial and hair done at Mineral Lifestyle, lunch at Jackie’s Café in Paddington, and makeup done at MAC.

After getting dropped back home to get changed, we were off again to On Seven at David Jones to watch the models getting their hair and makeup done. I’d never been backstage at a fashion show before, so it was a lot of fun to go behind the scenes.

When we were ushered into the event space for the show, my jaw practically hit the floor. I’ve been to a few fashion shows in my time, but nothing as incredible as this. Crystal chandeliers hung low over the runway, which was lined with tables overflowing with flowers. This was where we were to eat dinner (created by Neil Perry), while watching the show.

The DJs SS17 collection launch was one of the best events I’ve ever been to – thank you so much to Aveda for inviting me.
