The Dad/chunky sneaker looks like it’s here to stay – and it’s super divisive. It seems everyone either loves them or hates them. I wasn’t sure about them to begin with, but I have definitely come around. At the end of the day, I’m here for any trend that involves comfort. And this pair by Ash are super comfortable (despite being quite heavy!). If you’re wanting to give them a go but don’t want to spend a lot of money on a trend that might not be around in a year or two, these and these are more affordable options.
.
In terms of how to style them, I like to pair them with mini dresses and slip skirts to offset the masculinity of the sneakers. I was hesitant to wear them with jeans to avoid a Jerry Seinfeld vibe, but they’re just too comfortable, and jeans/tee/sneakers has become my Saturday errand-running uniform.
