Next up on our Bali adventure was to Seminyak, where we stayed at Katamama Hotel, located next to Potato Head Beach Club. We were seriously impressed with the service from the moment we arrived, from being picked up in a golf buggy at the top of the driveway and dropped off at the door, to checking-in in our room while having cocktails made for us in our in-room bar. The decor is absolutely beautiful, all warm wood and crisp white linens, but the amenities and the service is what made the hotel one of the best I’ve ever stayed in.

There were bars everywhere, including at the reception desk. While waiting to go out to dinner one night, my husband BJ got an impromptu cocktail lesson by one of the guys working on reception. We had little treats like eclairs and chocolates delivered to our room each afternoon. It was little touches like this that made our stay so memorable.

We’d been to Seminyak before, so our time here was spent hitting up old favourites like Sea Circus and Motel Mexicola, and discovering new-to-us places like Kiln (the most amazing Mediterranean food) and Mrs Sippy Beach Club. The rest of the time was spent getting mani pedis and massages, or lazing by the pool. Good food and pampering – what more could you need?
